A Sunrise to Remember

This weekend I went to Budapest and Prague.  We spent two days in each city which was definitely not enough time but enough time to fall in love with each. While in Budapest we planned to see the sunrise.  When the alarm went off at 4:50 am we questioned "do we really wanna do this?".  After much debate we dragged ourselves out of bed and made our way to Castle Hill to watch the sunrise! Worried that we would miss it, we made it there just in time to watch the sunrise over the whole city. I must say this was a view I will never forget.  The whole city just lit up as the sun rose above it.  We were so high up that you could see everything from a distance.  My favorite view was the bridges that line up along the river and The Parliament that can be seen from miles away.

As we were taking our pictures we were approached by another tourist who as well was enjoying the view.  With his professional camera and all he asked to take pictures of us. Thinking he was a little creepy at first, he ended up giving us incredible pictures to capture the moment.

Anyone who travels to Budapest,  wake up at 4:50 am, hop on the tram and make your way up to Castle Hill.  I can 150% say that this was so worth sleep walking to the tram and sprinting down the street in flip flops to find the castle after getting off at the wrong stop.  We just sat by the pillars for a good hour just taking in the incredible view. This was for sure one of the highlights during my whole time abroad. This view was something I will always remember and I'm so happy that I got to experience it in one of my favorite cities in Europe so far.
