Top Czech Attractions

Prague is filled with museums, great architecture, shops, sculptures and so on. I have to say that this month is going to be jam packed trying to visit these sites and thus far, and I've already figured out some of the top attractions to visit. Being that it has only been about a week, I'm sure this list will change..

(no particular order)
1. Charles Bridge- Charles Bridge is a beautiful gothic style bridge built during the reign of King Charles IV. The bridge is between Old Town Square and the Prague Castle area, and is lined with statues of memorable Czech figures.

2. Prague Castle- The castle walls envelope memorable sites such as Golden Lane, Saint Vitus Cathedral and governmental offices. Seeing the castle at night across the Vltava River seems like a fairy tale but is easy to get to by tram.

3. Petrin Hill- Located on a hill in the center of Prague is Czech's version of the Eiffel Tower, among other sites such as a rose garden and maze of mirrors. It is the ideal place to picnic in Prague and get view from the top of the Eiffel Tower.

4. Old Town Hall Tower- The tower is home to the infamous Astronomical Clock with its hourly showing of the 12 Apostles. The clock is ornate with its many statues and medallions, and tours are offered within the tower.

5. Wenceslas Square- This square is scattered with shop, cafes, and other tourist sites. The National Museum is located at one end of the square while other important attractions like David Cerny's King Wenceslas Riding a Dead Horse are nearby.
